This is sacred land, bought with the blood of fallen patriots. Anything built there will fall into ruin and be cursed just like that decrepit mall across the street!

Many of the Veterans who have joined our efforts were motivated based on the developers smeer tactics against the FOFSD and the reversal of position that recognizes and honors the soldiers cemetery. The developer has created a sense of betrayal and resentment in the Veterans community and cannot be trusted to protect this historic site.

Rewriting history and tearing down or destroying historical sites seems to be a popular theme in today's society. Something that was also very common and popular in Communist and Socialist empires right before the citizens of those societies lost all of their freedoms.

Ferg has been a strong supporter of the FSD and he paints a very likely scenario ,on how this project will play out if it is allowed to move forward. The story about the developer sending spies to FOFSD meetings is absolutely true. Last fall Lance spoke at the Poughkeepsie VFW and one of the developers spies was there. It was extremely obvious and she stood out like a sore thumb. No legitimate businessman uses tactics like this, and no Veteran can trust him to do the right thing with the military cemetery on his property now that he is questioning that soldiers are buried there.

My family is originally from Ireland and I have traveled there often. It is true that historic sites in Oileáin Bhriotanacha and the rest of Europe are preserved and held in reverence more so than here in the States. Saving this site should just make sense because it is the right thing to do!
